Sticky Critters !

« Return to News

13th Jan 2016

Would you like to try something new this year with your class? Many of us are used to studying life cycles within our science lessons, often using butterflies, tadpoles and sometimes hatching chickens. One teacher from a school in Bolton has recently had experience of a slightly different kind! Stick insects have been hatched and observed over time in her classroom. They then went on to another school where they have grown even bigger. Her class found out that brambles and privet were a firm favourite in Sticky, Wendy and Bob the stick insects diet. Take a look at the attached photos and see if you can spot the egg!
