The Summer term ( hopefully ) offers better weather to spend more time outside in the great outdoor classroom. Typically in Science, we teach more Biology in the Summer term, taking the children outside to explore habitats and search for creatures that might be hiding in the undergrowth. This offers lots of opportunities for developing Working scientifically skills like, Pattern seeking, Observation over time and Identifying and classifying. Sometimes, as teachers, we are a little unsure of the knowledge we need to help support the children in their explorations.
