« Return to News

22nd Feb 2018

To celebrate National Vegetarian Week in May funding can be obtained to pay for Learning activities linked to an exploration of the carbon impact of a vegetarian or vegan diet. The pupils will learn to make the pizzas themselves

The grant can be used to cover the cost of a visit from a Pizza cob oven maker who will show the children how they can reduce their carbon footprint whilst making Pizzas . There will be enough pizza made to feed 100 hungry mouths.
To find out more get in touch with Mathew Lloyd the owner of the Pizza Cob Ovens and Emma Fieldhouse, who has developed a carbon footprint game who will help the children understand how what the eat can effect the world. Matthew and Emma will support schools to put together a grant application to cover the cost of the days activities.
Be quick though the window closes on Feb 25th 2018.
