The Great Bug Hunt 2016

This great competition encourages teachers to use the outdoor classroom to engage their children in exploring the undergrowth to discover the minibeasts that live just out of everyday sight. Children will be using their Working Scientifically skills to discover, draw and record their findings as well as developing their Biology knowledge. The competition is open to children from Age 5years to 11.

The first prize is a fun packed morning of bugs in the school with Luke Tilley from the Royal Entomological Society.
Runners up prizes will include entomological equipment and guides for the class. Certificates will also be given to each child in the winning groups.
