11th Oct 2016

STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics and this is the theme for the Big Draw Festival 2016. The Big Draw believe that science and art go hand in hand and are encouraging schools to explore technical drawing, inventions and investigations. Using art to illustrate and observe what they see in their science investigations – ‘sketch a scientific theory’. Drawing is a universal language that all children can use to communicate. Drawing their ideas, can really help children explore their predictions and gain a deeper understanding of what they are thinking.
