Science Through Stories, Films and Poetry
Films, stories and poetry are an excellent way to engage children in science. Could your children spot the carnivores from the herbivores in Zoomania? Would they be able to help Superworm escape from the evil lizard? Perhaps they could work out what makes the shadow bigger in Michael Rosen`s poem The Shadow. Maybe they know how to change the Beast back into a prince? We will explore all sorts of exciting ways to teach science using children’s favourite films, books and poems. We will also look at other cross-curricular connections during the course of the day. To find out more click on the flyer.
