7th Jun 2018

Why not get your class involved with a great cause championed by Friends of the Earth to count Britain’s
Bees ?

British Bees are under threat from pesticides and loss of habitats, so Friends of the Earth need your help to survey how many bees are left in the UK.

This activity fits in with The National Curriculum for Science in all year groups. For example in Years 1 when the children are looking at the structures of plants – Which part of the plants are the bees attracted to ? In Year 2 and 4 in the Living things and habitat topic. In Year 3 as part of the life cycle of a plant. In Year 5 as part of the life cycle of an insect and in Year 6 as part of the classification system.
