2nd Sep 2018

This recent report is produced by the Children’s Society and is a reliable measure of the wellbeing of children aged 8 -17 years in the UK. It looks at the trends and identifies areas for focus.

Worryingly children’s wellbeing levels have decreased and are now as low as they were twenty years ago. This report also finds that girls are unhappier with their lives than boys and are twice as likely to self -harm. Children attracted to the same sex suffer with reduced wellbeing and higher levels of depression and half of this group of young people are self- harming.
