18th Apr 2021

Mental health issues are on the rise in young people, not surprisingly, and as teachers, we are the first line of support. By becoming a Mental Health First Aider you will be able to recognise mental health issues and guide the children in your care to the appropriate support.

There are just a few places left on the next run of Mental Health First Aider for Youth which is taking place online on the 23rd and 27th April from 10 am to 4.30 pm

This course is being discounted during COVID to allow as many education establishments as possible to have an accredited Mental Health First Aider to spot the signs of mental health issues in the young people they work with.

This course will also help participants to improve their own well-being and the staff they work with.

Here is what one recent participant has said about the course;

''Thank you very much for this course. Hester was fantastic, as were my group, and I have come away with a thorough understanding of mental health issues and most importantly how to provide first aid if necessary. I feel much more equipped to go into my school and support my young people to the best of my ability.''
