20. Science Attainment Through Higher Level Thinking Skills

When children do the thinking then more progress is made in science and their attainment is deeper and stronger allowing them to apply their learning to new experiences.

In this workshop you will investigate a range of different resources and strategies to help expand and develop your children`s thinking and analysing techniques in order to improve their attainment in science and beyond.

As a result of this course, you will be able to:
 

• Support your pupils to become more responsible for their thinking and learning.

• Elicit and respond to pupils` ideas to deepen and challenge their thinking.

• Become more confident with a range of resources to facilitate critical thinking.
