11. Making The First 15 Minutes Count

Are you a newly qualified teacher or just looking to build more confidence in your science teaching skills? If so, then this course is for you. It covers the key issues in primary science and looks at the teaching methods that make a difference to children`s science learning. The first fifteen minutes can be critical in capturing the attention of the children in your class in order for learning to occur. You will gain confidence in your own science subject knowledge and come away with a heap of new ideas and activities to teach science in a fun and engaging way. The course will also look at how to plan a curriculum that supports progression.

  • Understand the key issues in primary science, what engages children, and how to maximise their science learning.

  • Identify ways to enrich and enhance your teaching of science and make it relevant and enjoyable for your pupils.
