Free Potatoes, Big Science – Get Your Class Growing!

Could your class turn a few seed potatoes into a whole season of scientific discovery? The FREE Grow Your Own Potatoes project gives nursery and primary pupils a fantastic hands-on opportunity to investigate plant growth, discover where their food comes from and explore healthy eating. Over six million children have already taken part, and registered teachers receive a free growing kit with seed potatoes and easy-to-follow instructions in February. Register your class by 29 January 2027 and give your young scientists something exciting to grow, observe, measure and eventually harvest!
