Scrambled egg INSIDE the shell

Ok so maybe its just us but WOW – I didn’t know it was possible to scramble an egg whilst it is inside its shell!

Then make a scrambled shell egg of your own in secret. ( Free-range please!) Back in the classroom ask the children to describe what they think they will see if you crack a fresh egg open – look for science language like liquid, viscous, fluid etc. Then crack open a normal fresh egg. Next ask what they think a boiled egg would look like inside? – looking for descriptive science vocab again – then crack open a boiled egg for them to observe. All good so far - then tell them you have a special egg that came from a special bird …and crack open your special scrambled egg. Discuss!!
