World Book Day - 5th March

This years World Book Day is on the 5th March and has became a yearly tradition. It can be an effective part of the Reading for Pleasure curriculum - but having fun while reading doesn't have to be for just one day! This years day centers around the UK-wide National Year of Reading 2026, with the campaign slogan "Go All In" encouraging reading for pleasure, deepening existing interests, and connecting books to passions, while also providing resources for fun, accessible reading for all ages.

The resources available on the World Book Day website have a number of ideas to promote a reading for pleasure culture with fun, inclusive activities that can be used all year round.
